You don't fill out a job application, and expect to be hired the first time. Rejection is part of the process.
Also, if you're too nice right away, the man might think you're just like that with everyone. He's more likely to take your interest seriously, if you're a little reserved, until you get to know him.

Well it does happen! I had a great one and he died at the age of 40! I thought I would be alone for the rest of my life because no one would ever be able to measure up to what I had with him! Well guess what? I got another one! I wasn't even looking for him, but there he was! So hang in there, I'm sure there are some good ones left!

Because they get too serious and guys do not like a very serious girlfriend. Further more, they live in their own world - so who wants to be isolated - no one.

Seriously, guys like to play around with bad girls. They can be a lot of fun. But they don't "bring them home to momma."
