As previously explained, I am a good person who happens not to believe in God. However, if I am wrong and there is a God and a Heaven I will not be allowed in because I don't believe.
If I were a lying, murderous, child abusing, rapist who happens to believe in god though, apparently I'd be allowed in.
Come on Christians, even your arguments hold no water.

Very good question this one ! One that could be answered by any well intentioned and serious student of the Bible.

First- there will be people in heaven who have never heard nor accepted Jesus Christ as their saviour. They simply lived righteous lives as if the ten commandments were wrtitten in their hearts. They simply have a heightened sense of right and wrong and live correctly because it is the right thing to do BUT they have never heard of Christians preached to them about Jesus (maybe they live in mountain ranges far from civilized word). Read Romans 2: 12-14)

GOD IS FAIR ... and some of their minor mistakes God winked at or overlooked because of their ignorance. (Acts 17 :30) ....God is really fair.

But you on the other hand is NOT ignorant. If you deliberately reject HIS offer of forgiveness, He will also reject you.

And if you are a Christian and you are lying and murdering and raping and abusing small children - you will go to hell. If a person claims to be a Christian and does all these heinous things when Jesus comes for the second time to take His children, He will say to this Christian - "Depart from me, I knew you not"

I told you God is fair !!!!

Just wanted to let you know...we are all sinners. We all sin everyday! There is no level of goodness. The Bible tells us that to be "good" isn't enough. You have to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior to go to Heaven, and be forgiven of your sins.
I don't necessarily think that anyone who asks for forgiveness goes to Heaven. It has to be sincere. Some people think they can wait until they're at deaths door to repent. Maybe so, but is it worth the risk? I'd rather just do the best I can as a Christian.

Dude, your brainwaves hurt.

You told you this?

Are you really as shallow as your question?

.
]
NOW. Dude. According to God Himself...you know..The God of the heaven you pretend to want to be a part of?

You show me Oh Righteous one, where you have a ghost of a chance entering?

YOUR done dude. Your history. Your smoked. until you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Period. Get over it.

Now. YOU get your KJV Righteous one, The same Book of the God in heaven, and you and I can compare notes.
.

[Edit}

Yes. My friend, I read real well. Apparently you can't.
I have not seen one "knowledgeable" Christian on here, tell you ..you can enter heaven as a thief, rapist, killer,..blah blah. They just told you YOU CAN'T.

Your question, says: You can. Christians told you, you can. Who are these Christians that told you this?

I have not seen them.

Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (Jn. 3: 3). The word "see" used here is not the Greek word bleppo (to see), but ieadien a derivative of oraow. This word, which is also translated “to see” denotes not so much a seeing with the eyes, but a perceiving, an apprehension, a spiritual understanding of something. It is roughly equivalent to when we say, "O, I see what you are saying." So the verse would be translated accurately this way: Unless a person is born again, he cannot spiritually understand anything about the Kingdom of God. In other words, regeneration is a necessity because an unregenerated person – the “natural man” – does not and cannot “receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Cor. 2:14). Apart from the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit, people are completely incapable of discerning spiritual truth. If then they cannot understand spiritual things, how then can they exercise faith? Indeed, the gospel is “veiled” to the unregenerate (2 Cor. 4:3 - 4), who loves darkness rather than light (Jn. 3:19-20), who, having ears, yet cannot hear nor comprehend spiritual truth (Is. 6:9-10; cf. Mk. 4:12, Lk. 8:10; Jn. 8:43-44, 47). An unregenerate man will no more respond to the gospel than will a rock. Regeneration is absolutely essential if fallen man is to believe.

I say this with all pain and humility: friend, how can we explain spiritual things to you if you have no eyes nor ears nor any other sense to receive them with?

Although I don't doubt that you are a good person. it does sound like your trying to prove yourself more then anything. I'm always trying to be good, but I can never say I am good. It's like the second you say you're humble, your not. As for your argument, simply, everyone well get what they deserve. there are "many mansions" waiting for us. however there are certain requirements to get higher up and closer to God. BTW, if you are good and never heard of or had a chance to accept Christ, You won't be punished, You would have your chance. And if still no, you still get your reward, (not punishment) just not as good as it could have been. However, if you knew about Christ and rejected him, you are held accountable, and your reward would be even less. If you joined a church, and committed heinous sins, then your at the lowest of the low because you knew better and chose against it. Sorry, but you logic is flawed. You might want to do a little research before an assumption like that.

The first part of you statement is true. The second part is incorrect. "If I were a lying, murderous, child abusing, rapist who happens to believe in god though, apparently I'd be allowed in." You would not be allowed in in both cases. How ever, because God loves you unconditionally, He will allow you in if you repent and turn from your ways sincerely.

If the lying, murdering, child abusing, rapist ask for forgiviness, and he has repented and he asked Jesus to come into his heart, yes he's going to heaven. The thief hanging on the cross next to Jesus went to heaven. You can be a good person and not be saved, but that doesn't mean you're going to heaven, you'll have to open up your heart and let Jesus in for that to happen.

Hey there! I used to struggle with that question too. But what I can say is, faith is not faith without good works. (Note that it's faith then good works, not the other way around) It's pretty subjective, I mean, we are not to judge who gets into heaven because we don't know really. I think that those who love God with all their hearts get to go into heaven. It's not just 'believing', it's living it out. But unfortunately, the Bible does say that if you don't believe in Him, you don't get to go into Heaven. After all, if all your life, you say 'I don't want to believe in you, God. Stay away from me', at the end, when you (maybe) don't enter Heaven and go the other way, God says to you 'You get your wish'.

If you have repented your sins and are truly sorry for your actions, God will forgive you, if you are just using wolf tears you will get a surprise when the judgement day comes.
There are only two people that can tell you if your going to Heaven, God and yourself.
As for holding water the Gospel is watertight and I would stake my life on that.
Go try it I talk to a lot of people like you, none of them have ever regreted it.

If you repent and confess your sins to the Lord, He will forgive you of your sins no matter how bad they may be. Even if you are a "good person" as you say, the bible tells us that everyone is born into sin and you should repent to be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

There is not such thing as a small sin in the eyes of the Lord, sin is sin and you will be judged accordingly on judgment day.
