Because 'God' in English and 'Allah' in Arabic have the same meaning.
You are not wrong to believe in the One True God.
The Muslims are not wrong to believe in the One True God.
Just think how long would the world have peace if the beleivers of each religion keep on sticking to the concept that only their God is the One True God. Each child may claim that his father is the only perfect man, but when he becomes a little more mature, he realizes that all the true fathers are as a perfect father.
The One True God raises mankind to an ever-advancing civilization through His successive Messegers, Who keep the concept of God unchanged. Only social laws are changed to cause man to be more civilized.

You are a nonArab and a Christian, contented with the translations of Names; whereas yours and mine and nobody else's name is translated but spoken and written in original. The Arabs, the Aramaics have their Bible, which is more close to the original words spoken by mylord Jesus. He did NOT speak English, but Aramaic, close to Arabic and Old Syriac and not at all related to your English. In the Arabic Bible, Allah appears in the very first line, twice in the second line, then thousands of time in later pages. You do not invoke Allah, to your own misfortune. Millions of Christians( and Muslims) know only Allah and not the translated name-word God. The word or the Glorious name:Allah has no gender(like goddess),no plural(like gods), and has never been used in any other context except to refer to The Supreme,Unique,Absolute Deity. You and I are born with the genes of free will, to accept or to defy. You chose God, many have chosen Allah. May you be blessed with a divine increase in your comprehension. Amen !*** And the name-word 'Muhammad' is also there in the non-English texts....

Allah is the Arabic word for God. If you believe in one God then you'd refer to him as Allah in Arabic, just like you'd refer to him as Dieu in French etc. The word Allah is not reserved for the Islamic God.

That is your faith and that is fine. But there are many similarities between the major religions and what they teach. When people say that God and Allah etc. are the same they are trying to prevent the prejudice that comes from emphasising difference, when at heart all the religions teach peace, love and good will towards your fellow man (and in case you want to be smart and say how terrorist twist the words of documents like the Koran, I might just remind you that the bible has had more than its fair share of nut jobs misinterpreting it for their own selfish purposes.).

Allah actually skill God in Arabic. it really is what Arab Christians call God too. What you're conserving is like claiming Dios and God do not recommend an same component. in case you recommend is there a large difference between the Islamic theory of God and the Christian theory of God? Then of direction there's a large difference. And the Koran talks about it too, yet says they are all Abrahamic, which they are. "The Koran says it really is alright to lie about Islam as a thanks to rework human beings." it really is a delusion. financial ruin and verse, please. EDIT: have you ever easily clicked those links? study around the verses - they are about mendacity below duress, because of a tyrant like Pharoah threatening a persons' life, or deceiving the enemy in the time of warfare. All armies use deceit in warfare. And is it so incorrect to lie about what faith you're once you've a gun on your head? None of those passages are about being authorised to lie about Islam usually.

They are two different names for the same God - one in English and one in Arabic. Just like the Christian God and the Jewish God. Muslims believe different things - for example that Jesus was a prophet, but not the son of God, but they still believe in God.

Allah is just "Arabic" for god.
Christian Arabs say "Allah" also, because they speak in "Arabic" and in "Arabic" we say "Allah"
And we believe that there is only "one god" and it is the same god, weather you believe in one of his prophets or not.
We believe in the prophets mentioned in the Bible and the Jewish holy book along with ours and all of them are respected the same as our prophet Mohammad.
You pray to god and we also pray to god, difference is you following the teachings of Jesus Christ, and we follow or prophet Mo hammed.
