HAD THE SAME PROBLEM YEARS AGO. If you take the serial number of the radio equipment and that of the vehicle, not sure which was used, to any main Motor dealer, they should within minutes get the code from via the computer from the existing old Rover records. Cost me about £9.00 . The AA , RAC etc. will also have access to the records. Best of luck.

1) Find someone with the same car and ask their code. Code are usually model and serial number based, so this one may not be the best.
2) Contact Rover and ask. No harm in asking and it may be the cheapest way to do it.
3) http://www.radio-code.co.uk/ and pay for someone to email you the correct code for your car. Or google the hundreds of sites offerering the same service.

If you have the stereo book it may be in there, otherwise look in the Yellow pages for in-car entertainment specialists. Many of them can get the code for you, and if they can't they will be able to tell you who can. Normally costs around £10.

Is the code not in your handbook/service history that came with the car. Usually in the front. If you find it write it down in your address book or keep somewhere safe. Happy listening.
