I have been on Ill health since December last year. I am having to fight to get anything to help me live from day to day. I have also had industrial injuries benefit refused. If this country tried to look after their own first instead of waiting for a pat on the back for being generous with the immigrants that we seem to attract.
As much as i am in agreement with you, my biggest worry is what sort of future we are leaving behind for our kids to sort out.........

Yes, sometimes it gets me down, there are so many things wrong with the way the Country is being run but move to another place and you'll find it's the same or worse.
The sentencing for criminals is laughable, a pedophile can abuse young children and he gets sent down for a few years only to be put back into a community near children.
You are scared to speak out to young people, who are abusing your property, creating havock incase they attack you. There has been so many knife attacks this year already.
I have nothing against illegal immigrants that come over here and work, there are many Polish people who work so hard and deserve to be here. It's the immigrants that used to spend all their time in the bookies (where I worked part time) instead of working that riled me. I don't agree with anyone claiming money unless it's really needed.
The laughable sentencing that people get for car offenses, an example, a hit and run driver who had no licence and had been drinking kills a young child. The sentence - 7 years and driving ban for 3 years! What.
I could go on but I won't. No matter where you move there will be some problems that you face, we do have a lot of things that are better than other Countries.

This country has been put to sleep by this government. We're all so quiet, there's no protest against them.Someday soon, and I think people are beginning to wake up to this, a government is going to actually HAVE to deal with the problem. Without a large increase in taxes, the increases demanded to sustain the NHS and the benefits system are unsustainable. I worry I am going to reach retirement age and have no state pension because it seems that the full-time working taxpayer always loses out to the the person who has never put anything in the 'pot'. Should we be spending money on paying for people who won't work and have no ambition whatsoever beyond benefits, and immigrants (not all) who see us as a soft touch (as shown on the national news)? What do we then say to people's families whose members die on NHS waiting lists; to old people who have to pay massive amounts for care, or taxpayers whose salary increases don't meet increases in Council Tax or National Insurance? All this when we don't do enough to stop benefit fraud or have the courage to stop carelessly handing our tax revenues out, which I think we can all see is hopelessly misdirected. We should care about people who can't help themselves, or who have fallen on hard times or who need developing. We need to look at why people are coming here just because we have a benefits system and let's get the people that refuse to work or adopt a feigned limp to get disability, into the jobs that the eastern europeans are coming here to do.

Wow,pretty sheltered, aren't we?I use to feel the same way about the illegals, until I had my daughter. That maternal instinct kicked in and I realized a few things. If my home country was so screwed up an corrupt that my children would probably witness a few murders by the time they grew up.They'd be lucky if they could go to school, let alone finish school.I'm pretty sure living in a 1 room shack in a dump would be more than enough to want to hop some fences and freeways, kids in tow,if it meant they had a better chance at life somewhere else.Who wants to set their kid up for failure if they have a chance to give them better opportunities? The whole criminal thing is BS.Most of the people incarcerated are non violent drug offenders and probation/parole violators. And you can thank the war on drugs, mandatory sentences and Cali's 3 strikes law.

YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD...YES...you covered many things that most people are feeling. When you wake up in the morning and get in your car and drive to the gas station to buy your hard earned fuel....then face the traffic and see people along the way loafing....and collecting it BURNS....so as you gulp down your coffee....and nibble on your toast you brought from home cause your money is low ......you get to work where some employees were hired because of their ethnicity....they had to be hired...not someone who earned it!......at lunch you sit with your co-workers and some are not speaking the language of your country so you cringe...thinking why don't they blend in with the rest of us..the immigrants who came here years ago dropped their language and learned English.....the day goes on.....you hear on the news...on the way home in your imported japanese car....that some man who raped some women was given probation after serving a year in prison..and he was being given the use of the best medical services...legal assistance so he could have the best defense...so your hair starts to curl. it better because you can't afford a permanent .....as you hear this news...and you break out in a rash from nerves... you go to the doctor and need some medical help....but you have to PAY..insurance and co-payments....and wait in line behind the people who were there who had everything paid for them....and when the doctor finally comes in all frazzled...he only has 10 minutes to help you.....so as you leave with your receipt and prescription for the pharmacy....you have to pay twice as much as the person you saw in the doctor's office.....etc etc etc etc....this goes on everyday...night and day....It all starts at the top and works down....we must elect better judges and leaders who are going to make some changes or there is going to be another war in our country not from someone far away but from the people themselves who feel screwed...and right now it doesn't look very bright..until we get someone who really cares for the workers of this country...hope things change for the best for all of us!

Yes to everything. But what do we do about it, if we sit back and do nothing it will get worse. Local people are waiting on housing lists, as immigrants are given first choice. I use to rent a flat to the council and the tenants were all emergency housing, they were all immigrants and they left my flat in a right state, fortunately the council paid for it. I asked if I could specify who the next lot of tenants would be and they said no, so I stopped renting it after that as wanted people from the UK in there who have more right.

Lots of people share this view but none of the main political parties in the UK seem willing to tackle these issues. The option is to vote for a minority party but unfortunately these tend to be too extreme in their views. This tends to dissuade many people from supporting them, but the more the Government ignores these feelings, the more people will be driven to extremist parties. Look what happened in Germany in the 1930's. The Government and opposition need to start listening and soon.

Do what I did and leave.
I left the UK 8 years ago because I didn't like the way things were going.
I now live in France where both the education and health systems are far superior to that in the UK.
The French have laws that make it very difficult for illegals to stay. Why do you think they skip France and head to the UK?

be angry at your elected represenatives, they are the real loafers and their benefits and high salaries keep them out of touch with their subjects! I say subjects as thats how the taxpayer is treated. I dont mind vets getting benefits or dissabilty for they served our country. 3rd generation welfare reciepents are another matter, yet the high cost of health care is only fueling the fire, where medicade is concerned

Don't like the status quo? Vote. Vote for someone else and/or a different political party. Make sure all your fiends vote and all your family members vote. Voting is the only club we have over these hypocrites.
