Can anyone tell me why a person would attend or join a "church" where the so-called Minister has longer hair than your wife does?
Can anyone tell me why women go to church wearing shorts and flip~flops?
Can anyone tell me why a 3 year old boy has a deeper voice than his Minister does?
Can anyone tell me why the church pianist looks like a retiree from the red light district?
Can anyone tell me why your pussy~cat has a firmer hand~shake than your Minister does?
Can anyone tell me why parents would allow their teenage daughter to wear all black clothes and painted up like some circus clown?
Can anyone tell me why there are more men wearing earings in your church than women?
Can anyone tell me why we have turned our churches into Religious Country Clubs?
Can anyone tell me why churches have these rotten hellish so~called "christian rock groups" who sing like the Devil because they're full of the Devil.
In God's dear name, what has happened to our churches?

I'M TALKING ABOUT GOD'S PEOPLE WHO USED TO HAVE STANDARDS AND WHO KNOW BETTER. I WOULD NEVER SAY ANYTHING AGAINST A VISITOR OR A UNSAVED PERSON WHO DOES NOT KNOW ANY BETTER. I'M TALKING ABOUT CHRISTIAN'S WHO KNOW BETTER. WHEN GOD CLEANS YOU UP ON THE INSIDE, HE WILL CLEAN YOU UP ON THE OUTSIDE.
IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND FOLKS.....LOST STANDARDS.

Cor thats an exciting list of questions 10 in all...
ok lets start at number 1
1) well there are 2 possible answers, a) the minister is female, and just happens to have long hair. b) the minister is male and doesnt feel that long hair interfers with his ability to be religious/devout, some may feel like Samson, his hair gives him the strength to follow his religious ideals and be different in the face of a secular society.
2) Church is about being there, and being Christian maybe these people feel that they can be there and be religious, just as they are through out the week without the need of special clothes, or alternatively perhaps they are engaged in a charitable activity on church mornings that leaves them without time to don their suits so instead they choose to ruch to church.
numbers 3+ 5) well maybe the minister has personal problems of a medical nature that cause these sort of issues, for example the poor gent may be a eunuch, or have developed RSI from long years of shaking hands with numerous church goers.
4, it just could be that the pianist has retired from some sinful occupation and while she may still suffer some level of difficulty relating to taste she may be doing her best to be the Christian she feels she can be.
6) why would parents let their daughter show gothic tendencies... well maybe they feel that they would rather she was well covered the dressed in the ultra minis worn by so many so called respectable girls? or maybe they feel by letting her go off the rails just a little bit she wont go off the rails a whole lot.
7) Maybe they just dont feel that God minds a little piece of metal in their ear, same as he probably doesnt mind them in their wife's ear, or the metal in the fake hip that old respectable guy has.
8) Religious country clubs, hmm not encountered this one before, maybe its a church reaching people through a new media?
9) Christian Rock.... this as I understand has 2 prominent schools of thought, (though more undoubtably exist) a) people showing devotion though a media they enjoy and understand. b) If they can get those that listen to normal rock/deth metal/satanic metal ect to listen to a little holier rock maybe in time they will start listening to Handel's 'Messiah'.
10) ahhh churchs are realising that they have competition as people have so little time and so many things to do in it, and as such they need to persuade people to be interested in them to maintain their congregations. So they are diversifying to appeal to people in different ways and on different levels. Trying to keep Christianity alive, in an age when most people dont really know what it means to be Christian, or know much about religion at all. eg, more than 1/2 of anglicans seem to feel that reincarnation is a traditional part of Christianity.
hope this helps, sorry its so long but there were so many questions.
U

Do you think a Church is what you see here as a building or a particular group of people assemble under that building?
Its God who join Believers to his Church. That is absolutely universal. A person whom you had seen in your above mentioned Church might never be a part of God's Church.

The problem is one of perception. People think that the "church" is a building or a corporation or something outside themselves.
Where is the church?
Where is the Temple?
If you have the Spirit of God dwelling in you then you ARE the temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16).

I am sure that church is not the only one around. If you are not happy there, find another one..but I assure you, if you find a perfect church and start attending, it will no longer be perfect. (In reality, no church is perfect but we need to find one that teaches the Word of God as GOD intended not as we want to hear it

To answer your big quesiton what has happened to our churchs. I think most have forgotten why there are there in the first place. To worship and teach others to worship. Like anything else in todays world they have lost their way

I'd think the answer to all of the above questions is that God loves SOULS and welcomes them to come together to worship Him. I doubt he cares about what they are temporarily dressed in, nor how their temporary bodies look, nor their voices sound, nor what they've done before they've come to worship Him. I think He cares that in their hearts they want to Love him. And hey, if its good enough for God, it is good enough for me.
Try CLOSING YOUR EYES and sing and pray. Develop your own relationship with God... and let others develop their own.

God looks at a person's heart-----not the outside .And, maybe the pianist was in the red-light district before, she was saved.

“In God's dear name, what has happened to our churches?”
That’s easy; Peter was the rock Jesus proclaimed, and is the only person to inherit His house, His church, the Catholic Church, not churches. Your list of the sickest, pale the threat of islam.
