i have seen it happen to many times and it has happened to me. i believe its because in a since we are showing more honor to that person then we show to GOD. i just wish i had of realized that a few relationships back. whats your view?

the way i have seen it happen is with in days of geting the tat the people break up. as for me im a woman and like any woman i want my ex to remember me. lol but thats being a little vain and i know i shouldnt feel that way.

i don't believe in that wt if that person left u then... i don't think it's a good idea but it does show lot of honor

The only problem with getting a persons name tattooed on you is if its a partner and you find a new partner later in life. Its going to be a permanent reminder of that person, and not very nice for a new partner to constantly see. I wouldn't have my girlfriends name tattooed on me for those reasons because nobody knows whats in the future.

That has got to be one of the more insane things you could do.
Bad luck? No, just a bad decission. There are new and effective methods for having tattoos removed. Ask another Yahoo! question about that in case you might need such a service

I know several people who had someone's name tattooed on them--- then broke up with the person. Their new mate seldom appreciates it--- and it is quite embarrassing to have someone's name on you when they throw you out, or you hate them. I'd call that bad luck. Or bad judgment.
Geez... getting rid of their stuff is hard enough!

Because relationships go bad, and if you have the name of a guy or an exfirend you broke it off with tattooed on your body you'll feel stupid.

you tattoo somebody's name on you? That isn't bad luck. That is just nutty. We brand cattle, not people. I put my name on my coffee cup, I put my name on my note book. That is so people will know they are my property. Were you being marked as property. that is just wrong in so many ways
