I go to a christian school, and well obviously most people are christians there, so am i, but i have a bi family member, whenever i bring him up everyone tells me im a sick person, my family is sick, it really pisses me off and im sick of it, but that pretty much makes up my entire school, i have friends and everything but its just that i have different thoughts on gays and everything to everyone else so leaving school is not an option but i don't know how to get over everyone being so horrible. Isn't hating the almost the worst thing you can do? Shouldn't we love everyone? So why does this happen

They are just young and peer pressure causes them to say these things. Christians don't hate gays. 25% of all people are gay and they are the same as everyone else. In western countries gays are just getting the rights they deserve. Any small minded people who cant deal with people being gay need to get educated

Well Obviously You Have Your Mind Set On Your Views Of ALL Christians, which is kind of wrong. I'm Christian and I know that God Said to love Everybody. I don't hate gays, even some of my friends are gay. There is absolutely wrong with LOVE. Whether It Be Heterosexual or Homosexual. That's just my views on it. The bible views it as a sin, and that's something I'm not going to argue with. No I don't hate gays, how could I? Those kids are probably practicing what their parent's have taught them, and it seems like they are very young and have been in my terms "brainwashed" their not old enough to make their own decisions so they go along with everyone else. And why don't we love everyone that's a good question because I'm sure that everyone has enemies including yourself i don't thing that anyone is excluded from that. The bottom line Christians Have faults, but from my experience they'll interpret the bible in their own way to make it fit in with their beliefs, which i don't condone at all it's just not right. The next time someone says that your sick tell that god said that we should love thy neighbor and thy enemies. that should keep them quiet for a while_†

I'm formerly a Catholic. I'm agnostic now because I realized that religion just isn't my strong suit and thing. Religion is meant to make you lead a good life. Some people are atheist because they have a feeling that they don't need a religion to lead a good life because they're already well-disciplined or whatnot. Another reason I decided to become agnostic is because of the hardcore Christians who give Christianity a bad name. They're the reasons people hate Christians. I'm not against Christianity, I respect it. I don't want to be hated for my religion and I don't want to be branded as a lunatic because of my religion. There are a ton of religions out there, thank god. Sorry for using the Lord's name in vain but I'm agnostic. I heard that the actual Bible states nothing against homosexuality. I support gay rights. Lots of gay people I ran into are really nice people.

the bible is stupid... it just tells u to discriminate everything but christianity, not all Christians do discriminate gay people but the ones that do, I have no sympathy for... there just getting brain washed into a little book that's been re-written about 100 times... if u don't like gays, don't be gay, don't tell everyone else what they can or cant do... and that is why im an Athiest

It is so biased in these comments. Gay people are heterophobes. They call us homophobes but we can't retaliate otherwise we'll be labeled a bigot or somehow racist? **** that. homosexual advocates and the lgbt crap are all dare I say, tyrants, all they care about is themselves, states vote against ssm but what does the government do, ohh your votes don't count, so why the f*** do we even vote then? This administration is so biased and filled with real bigotry and hate. And the gay population is less than 3% not 25%, so since when has the "minority" taken over the majority, now I know there will probably be a lot of hate or negative comments in reply to mine, but guess what, I don't care, I know what is right and wrong.

Not all Christians hate gays..... Some of the christians religion are more extremists than others.... But I can tell you that basically, gays were condemned in the Old Testament when God destroyed Sodome & Gomore, a whole town that had turn to sodomy.... But, this is in the OLD TESTAMENT.... Remember that JESUS came to change many things and to save all men...
You must live in USA, where no laws have been made yet.... In Canada, gay people have rights and laws which prohebits any discriminations and recongnises mariage of gays... Canada is primarely a Christian country ( Catholic and Protestant) ....
A true Christian would not judge any other, as this would be againts the actual preaching of Jesus.... They are wrong to hate anyone to start with.... They are making a sin by simply juging you and others.... Just live your life the way that you feel is best for you.....

Good Luck!

I knew when I read this question that I would hear a lot about loving the sinner but hating the sin. While I appreciate the distinction in some cases, (i.e. loving the smoker but hating the smoking) , it doesn't hold for the bigotry that is representative of the Christian belief. In the end, they reject the culture, the lifestyle, the love, all that is good in a heterosexual relationship that can be had in a homosexual relationship. If you take away a (wo)mans' wife, shared experiences, friends, language and lifestyle what do you have left. With homosexuality, you're hating the sinner when you hate the sin.

It is interesting that Christians say that they don't hate gay people, but they won't accept them in their church, they speak ill of them, won't fight for them to not be discriminated from employment and housing, which is totally legal in many states, and refuse to let them love their partners. If it is not hate then it sure feels like it.

i'm specific some Christians hate so-referred to as "gays" interior an analogous way that some "gays" hate Christians. yet, of direction, the enormous (and that i recommend massive) majority of Christians do no longer hate "gays". as nicely, in any subject, responding to hate with hate is silly and incorrect.

as a rule, christians love everyone for who they are. These guys are just biggots

this is harrassment, and your school should deal with the ring leaders effectively - gender and sexual harrasment are treated seriously at our local schools. They called in the police to talk to offenders and scare the hell out of them - the problem stopped immediately

these guys are just children, maybe the school should educate them about it.

Maybe best not to mention your uncle near them if it causes such problems for you, but that doesnt mean you love him any less
