Well in northern towns BNP support is getting very strong for obvious reasons. And to say there is no civil unrest.
Would 7th July 2005 qualify?

I am unsure about areas outside of the London Boroughs and Essex however i know that Within these two communities inter-racial tension is building.
The contstant threat of terrorist attacks within the UK is of a constant worry to many Londoners like myself, however the worry of them being people we may have know for years, be it the local corner shop owner, or your fellow office worker, is more of a constant worry.
With reguards to the other answers about there never being civil unrest in this country, that may well be true, however, the reasons being is that the threat was never this close to home, never befor have we witnessed such a large number of people preaching hatred towards the 'christian infidels' to quote Abu Hamzar.
Civil Unrest i would say is not an unlikely action, perhaps not in the immediate future, but within the future non-the less.
Everybody has heard of the Holy Crusades.....Correct?!
Now these were for the protection of what both religions belived to be sacred ground for the two religions involved, Christianity and Islam. There was also other motives such as male dignity and killing the infidels for GOD and for ALLAH.
But away from that.
The BNP subject however, will find it difficult to come to power, due to a few fundimental reasons, they have no economic policies (like the Lib Dems lol)
They try to come to power now by utilising the anger by people by the downfalls on immigration and terrorism.
I do agree that they would get a large vote from many Londoners if they were to change certain policies. However they do have a way to go before they would ever come to power.
However in conclusion, It is inevatable that something will happen that will cause a religious type civil war in this country. However this may take a while, though tension is building on a increasing scale by the day. Prime example the recent outburst in London by the Muslim who said that a certain London Borough was a "Muslim Area", this has infuriated many Londoners, so we now see the begining of the end.

Well we are a population of 60 million and we have around 2 million Muslims and i think 1 million from Iraq and then the government said there are up to 2 million immigrants on the loose and next we are opening the doors to the baby sellers erm oops i mean the Bulgarians, so maybe in 5 years we may have 10% of people from other racial backgrounds in the UK, that does not sound so bad but it seems there are more than that when i walk to tesco and see most of the shops are foreign owned and i hear up to 4 or 5 different languages outside the supermarket, it would be interesting to find out just how many Pure 100% British are actually here. But on the whole diversity is not so bad if we intergrate and build some bridges.

China can no longer interrupt down. China has alwasy been a rustic with many distinctive races and cultures and religions and there have continuously been unrest like this. and that they've the main adventure on a thank you to stop the hearth and placed across distinctive human beings mutually. you would be surprised at how reliable they're on controlling their mass inhabitants. there is reason that however they do no longer talk an identical language, they do no longer share an identical ideology, yet they nonetheless lasted as a multi-ethnic way of life for 1000's of years. On behalf of Taiwan, i might remind you that inspite of what you think of, the U.S. government recognizes Taiwans as area of China and is against its secession. an identical is going to all different international locations interior the international different than some interior the Carribe, which look after diplomatic kinfolk with Taiwans after being paid by skill of the Taiwan government each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

First to thomas p
There has been more civil unrest than I can write about here.
The Poll Tax and the Miner's strike are recent examples.
Look up the Tollpudle Martyrs or Luddites.
Now to Civil Revolution 200?
I can't say I remember the General Strike but I was around then.
It was long talked about in my family as were the thousands of crippled 1914 war vets force to sell boxes of matches to live.
This country of ours has had countless occasions to revolt and apart from Cromwell none have been more than protests.
Today, and if such public occurrences happen, it will not be the white native of our country that will start it.
We have neither the structures in place to get organised and neither do we want them.
We are loyal citizens of Queen and Country and to know what this means you would have to have lived at a time when we as a Nation was physically threatened.
I do see that possibility today and I am sure we will respond to the call, but it will not be a revolution, it will be once again warding off the threat to our country.
If this is revolution so be it, but it will not be the members of any one party.
It will be the ethnic population responding to the Government's call to do so. If you want to give such action a name I suggest history might provide one.

Most of the civil unrest in this country comes from the newcomers who are promptly rewarded by our appeasing governments. The British working class are manipulated into football club tribes in order to vent their spleens and fight among themselves. A very large proportion, possibly the majority, of the working class have views on immigration that are bang on the BNP's but very few would seriously consider voting for them.

That is quite frankly one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever heard, although sadly it is not the first time I have heard it.
No we are not about to collapse into civil unrest, and no the "do-gooders" are not in a minority. It is just a sad fact of life that there is no news like bad news. And that sells well to an apathetic public.
As for the threat of the BNP, I do not know they exact numbers, but they hold a tiny proportion of support in the political sphere. and as for them having a chance to hold the vote of the working classes. HA! With voter turnout hittting a lower and lower ebb, appealling to the masses is appealing to no one. Politics now is more about encouraging your current supporters to actually raly and go out to the polls, as it is about appealing to new voters.
No Britian is not on the verge of collapse nor do I ever think it will. We are a nation stable in apathy

There obviously appears to be some fear of others in some areas of the UK, however, people like the BNP are the true minority and will stay that way because of their simple-minded, single issue politics. This country has always welcomed people from all over the world and has benefited vastly from it, economically, culturally etc. I see no civil unrest and certainly no revolt in the air.

Thomas P....................... you must be joking if you think that there is not a history of civil unrest! There are many examples try the miners strike for starters.
In answer to the question.......... I agree with the contents of the question and have done for some time now.......... if the do-gooders don't stop soon with all of this rubbish we are having to put up with for all of the minority groups.... There WILL be civil unrest on a large scale. So if you want us all to live in harmony..... just leave the laws as they were and anyone coming to this country can just accept them as we do or they can go somewhere else.......... thing is though, they won't go as no one else is stupid enough to put up with them and they know it.

I think that there is underlying unrest in Britain, I dont believe there is one person here that is 100% Brittish as we are all mixed in some way ancestorally. But most of us try to respect the law of the land and abide by the rules. I think we are seen as a soft touch to people that come over here and personally i think we are becoming way over crowded to the point when nobody really has a sense of community and we dont trust each other and become suspicious of people.
