It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense does it? The good equipment goes where the money is though. I say send the new equipment to the soldiers and let the politicians fly around in the "vintage" models.
I'm still wondering what on Earth possessed NASA to launch a 20 year old space shuttle when a lot of people don't even drive cars that old.

The politicians fly around in modern jets,first class. Some even use the planes used as Air Force ! (Yes, there is more than one plane. The only one with the designation Air Force 1 is whatever one the president is on.)for personal trips along with their cronies.We foot the bill. Doesn't seem right does it?
