Okay there is this guy I have been talking to for a while, he is in Iraq right now and gets home in mid Nov. We talked about me going down to the welcome ceremony and he seemed equally excited. Until the other day. He is starting to seem more distant and distracted. Am I looking to deep into it. Is it just his enviorment right now or do you think he has had a change of heart?

I understand what you are all saying about the stress over there. I was just not ready for the day and night change is all. Thank you all though for your comments

Ask him in the same way you've asked us. One can't read his mind.

He is in Iraq' This guy has got a head full. Between dodging bullets and god only knows what else this is likely the reason he is acting this way. Don't think any thing of it right now. Let him get home and cool down awhile if he is still acting this way then talk to him about it.

He's in Iraq. It's not all about you. There IS a war going on. How excited does he need to be for you to feel good about yourself? Why do you need a man to validate your existence? These are questions that need to be addressed more than "what's he thinking?" Iraq is a big enough distraction, honey. If you are mature, and are sure you got an invite to go, then welcome him home, no expectations, no strings. He's under enough pressure.

have a talk with him and ask him or rather tell him what has been on your mind: him acting distant. ask him what is going on and clarify whatever is going on....at the same time think from his perspectibe: he has war, other things to worry and sometimes he might have to put you last as his priorities increase. just talk with him and i think that you will be okay. best of luck!

You should ask him why he is becoming more distant and then take it from there.
