For details on the kitten check my question about the bubby kitty.
He's very small, feeding well from an eyedropper with warm kitten milk. I've had him nearly 24 hours. Does he need some sort of help going potty or will he just do it himself. He really should be with his mum but details on that are in my previous resolved question. He's hea;thy and pretty strong I guess for his size. He's about as big as my hand and walks wobbly but getting faster :) and his eyes and ears are open. Hes also really vocal.

The warm damp towel is the best. You should be stimulating his areas each time you feed him. Wait about 5 minutes and then gently rub like a mother cat would wash him. It wouldn't hurt to just run the towel from his head down to simulate momma's grooming as well. Don't get the towel or face rag too wet, though.
Good luck.

For a newborn to use the potty they need to be stimulated, take a cloth or paper towel and dampen it with warm water, and rub in a gentle circular motion. This is meant to mimic the mothers tongue, and it should cause the kitten to go. Hope this helps.

ummmm... I second everone's advice here especially anout getting a dmp washcloth and encouraging kitty to potty by rubbing washcloth gently over his/her potty parts... that should work. Don't forget to keep the litten somewhere warm and cozy like a shoe box lined with a towel.

If he was with his mother she would lick his belly to stimulate passing of waste. She would also clean it up.Try a wet rag and stroking him towards the tale from his belly . I suggest a towel on your lap to catch any deposits. In humans breast mild produces very watery stool it may be the same for the kitten. I hope this helped.

You need to take a warm washcloth and lightly rub his potty areas. Normally the mother cat would like them and stimulate them to go. Without that factor you have to step in and do it for her.

He needs help going to the toilet. Usually the mother would stimulate the kitten to do this by licking their bits. My vet said you can do this by gently rubbing their bits with a towel, mimick the mother's licks. I advise you talk to a vet.

Well may be you should take him to the vet but only if his belly is hard if not then do the wash clothe thing then he'll go and if that don't work then call the vet or pet store like pet-co or petsmart up and ask one of them about what to do with him/her.

please listen to everyone here and help the baby go toilet, get an old washcloth, wet with real warm water, wring it out and wipe the baby's genitals until it poops and pees
more baby animals die from NOT being able to toilet than from feeding

He'll go somewhere you least expect.
If you feel his tummy, and it's soft then he'll go in his own time and you shouldn't worry.
