A dude implies he's not a man but a guy...or dude. So with that in mind, the maturity level is not as high as it would be if he were a man. Some "dudes" don't call, disappear for days on end, are not as attentive, suddenly need to hang with their boys more, seem distracted, suddenly talk of other girls, things like that. They don't have the guts to say they no longer want to date but they come up with what they think is a more brilliant idea -- treat the girl miserably so she'll be so angry she'll break up with them and her ego will stay intact. Only that a girl gets an ego-beating when a guy treats her in that way so by the time she gets her nerve up to break up with him, if she ever does, she's taken an emotional beating to her ego too. Thanks dudes.

Sorry' There is no other way of doing it. Just don't be hateful or mean. You have to look her in the face and tell her the truth. She may hate you for a while. She will get over it. If you don't face her she will think you are a a-s-s hole and never have any thing else to do with you.
