Depends on how much the depression and anxiety affects your life, and how much support you need from others to get through the day / night. e.g. can you travel on public transport, go to the shops, go to work etc.

Dla For Depression

Depends on the severity!
The DLA rules do state that you can claim in some circumstanses (Depression and anxiety would come under the heading of Mentally Disables), eg when you are a danger to yourself and need supervision to remain safe, when you are incapable of doing basic tasks for yourself (like preparing a meal) and there are others. You would still have to go through the usual process of medical examination and a load of questions but if you don't try you won't know.
PS Don't try it on coz they WILL suss you out if yo're not genuine (and yes loads of people do try this one on, I've seen some of the forms they fill in and the rubbish they write!).

The site below gives an overview of DLA and the process for claiming.

I have been suffering from post partum depression for the past one year when I gave birth to a baby boy. I couldn't stop thinking about how my husband loves him more than me and how things might be better if he wasn't born at all. Thus, I stayed away from him because I knew that I might do something I will regret for the rest of my life.

Almost instantly I went to a therapist and convince them that I need help. Among other things, I've tried herbal supplements and other book to treat depression but nothing works like the Depression Free Method. So now I'm proud to say I'm one of the happiest mother in the world. My husband loves us both very much and I thank the Lord for the blessing he gave us.

Yes, you can get DLA (Disability Living Allowance) if your doctor feels that your life is affected to such a degree that you warrant that sort of support.

As others have already stated, it's not always as straight forward as you might believe. The doctor genuinely has to believe that your life is affected in some negative manner.

You can get DLA if you need assistance from people to carry out everyday activites. The form is very long. They will ask you questions about your mental health how it affects what you are able to do and what you need or who you need to help you cope. So if you are not able to go shopping, etc. that would count. It's worth applying.

There are multiple kinds of disorders that deal with anxiety. Although most can manifest in similar ways, these disorders generally occur due to different events in your life. Natural home remedies for anxiety https://tr.im/0a4vd
Generalized anxiety disorder includes persistent and unnecessary worries about everyday, common events or activities, which can disrupt concentration and lead to other issues, such as depression.

The answer has to be yes, I know of three people who claim Disability Living Allowance because of the degree of their depression. One of them does go out of his way to defraud the system by conning the Doctors and medical examiners! But I do not recommend it.

It is harder than some things to get disability for, tbh it depends on your doctor, what is in your doctors notes about you (ie that is is long term, that you can't cope with general life) and it also depends on the doc that they will make you see. Diff docs have diff attitudes to depression, some are understanding, some are not.
