Its a Right-Wing christian conspiracy theory. Right-wing christians don't like freemasons. Freemasons believe in the Separation of Church and State and promote religious tolerance. Plus they are pretty secretive and that makes them an easy target for these lies.

I am a Freemason, a member of an esoteric Order, American Co-Masonry. You can read about many things on the Internet, including that lizards from outerspace live in the center of the world and secretly rule everyone. Do you believe that, too?

Freemasons work to make people better people. We in Co-Masonry accept both women and men of all races and religions. I know the members of our Order and while some are fairly well off, most are just working people. Shadow government? How would you prove or disprove it either way? Seriously?

Best thing I can tell you is to join and see for yourself. If you are of legal age, believe in a Supreme Being, are tolerant of religions other than your own, wish to improve the world by improving yourself, are not a slave (that includes to drugs), then apply. You do not need to be asked. We do not recruit. We accept people of good moral character. No anarchists or atheists, of course.

If I can be of help, please feel free to write me or click upon the link below.

Sincerely,
A Master Mason

No you are misguided or mislead. You are wrong. The mission of Freemasonry is to promote a way of life that binds like minded men into a worldwide Brotherhood that transcends all religious, ethnic, cultural, social and educational differences; by teaching the great principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth: and, by the outward expression of these, through its fellowship, its compassion and its concern, to find ways in which each may serve his God, his family, his country, his neighbors and himself."

gotta be one to know what they're about and you have to know one to be invited to be one. BTW you can't become a Shriner without becoming a Freemason first. Look at all the generous acts of kindness Shriners do.

While the masons do many things, there is not a shadow government made of masons only but.....jews, Japanese, big business, and even Catholics.

No. That comes from people who refuse to believe that the DaVinci Code is a work of fiction.
