I have been going out with this guy for the past four years. I love him to death, but he hasn't graduated high school yet. (He is 23)He has dyslexia and he has low self-esteem about the issue. I KNOW he smart (he builds computers). I have stressed to him how important that it is to me for him to have an education. I am in college and am planning on attending law school. How long should I wait for him to get his act together? Or am I just stupid and he will never grow up? Or how can I encourage him to get his GED?

Well, Its as much as you, Its satisfactory you're because anyone else however ultimately its going to occur, inform your father and mother and allow it unfold by way of the loved ones. And Tell the father and mother while you desire to have your marriage ceremony. They have greater than a 12 months to come to a decision what they desire to do... in case you do that good upfront you can be first-class... The faster the bigger, we had deliberate on now not telling any person til approximately a 12 months upfront (January 2011) however as I put on the hoop, they learned....If you are involved approximately loved ones both ask his father and mother approximately it, transfer the weddings nearer or extra aside. But in case you desire that date, ship out store the date ASAP, that approach the households have ample time to devise the whole lot out and store up for the expenditures.... I'd say inform the father and mother, ship out store the date playing cards, and begin making plans, ship out RSVPs this will likely provide you a well thought of whos making plans to come back... Good Luck

If he has low self-esteem like you say, then the most important thing is for him to feel like you're supporting and encouraging him, as opposed to demanding something from him. Maybe try to give him a push to get started, without letting him feel like you're "making" him do it.

it's nice that you have such concern for the weak
but I think you may grow and develop personally in a way that exceeds the possibilities of the involvement with him.
