I know some churches teach this is the devil's day or they have a hallelujah house instead of a haunted house and don't let their kids participate in the usual activities. Others might have some the best parties in town on Halloween night. I am wondering who's who. Name your religion or any you know for sure about and tell me what is their/your take on it.

I know that the Assemblies of God churches are against Halloween.
There are some Catholic and Anglican churches that have Halloween parties.
That's all that I'm sure of as far as the different denominations go.

I knew one church that was really one of those little congregations that assembled in a closed down store. They were adamant about putting an end to Halloween to the point that they were in the streets trying to scare all of the trick or treaters back home. Some teenagers got mad and egged them all.

I know the Catholics try to shut down the House of Shock every year in New Orleans. The House of Shock is a haunted house run by Pantera and Anthrax. I go every year and they're usually there when I go. If you wanna come down for a great party come on! It's in Jefferson this year because of Katrina.

I trick-or-treated in a huge Mormon community where I always came home with the best homemade treats. I don't think Latter Day Saints have a problem with it. Most churches don't have a problem so long as they can make some money through carnivals and festivals. :)

Only the stupid ones. You see, it goes like this: If Wal-Mart tells its cashiers to say "Happy Holidays", it's part of a "War on Christmas"...an effort to eliminate Christmas from our culture. But it's okay to try to eliminate Halloween from our culture because it has its roots in *non-Christian* traditions! Therefore it must be EVIL!

I have attended several different denominations of Christian churches throughout my life and every single one was anti-Halloween. I have yet to see any that even remotely tolerates it.

Though not a complete answer, I am fairly certain that the Jehovah's Witnesses do not dig it nor the Mormons. I'd keep looking for answers though, no authority here. Love "your" band T.D. baby!
