Would not deny the wonders of this earth or the universe but I do not see how any of that signifies a creator. I see the wonders and believe just the opposite. You claim a great design and perfection as one would expect from a god but the design is no where near perfect, the imperfections abound throughout this world and the universe. The details ,the interactions, the imperfections, all signify something much broader in scope. Definitely something beyond any single being.

Out of all arguments for Intelligent Design, the one I hate most is "there must have been a creator because life is perfect!"

Life ISN'T perfect! It's not perfect at all. There's a great article on Wikipedia about that called "Incompetent Design" -- it's a counterargument to Intelligent Design that lists all the ways in which life ISN'T perfect, and if it was designed, it was designed really, really poorly.

The link is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incompetent_design

Junk DNA, flightless birds, crowded teeth in many humans, and the pointless existence of the appendix in human beings are just some of the examples they give.

And that list doesn't even get into all the species that have gone extinct! Why would a creator "create" a species that was unable to survive, for whatever reason? Doesn't seem like very good design to me.

the question is whether the universe was designed by something with a mind, or if it was designed and shaped by natural processes (sorta like how sand dunes and snowflakes are shaped by natural processes).

take dolphins for example. they spend all of their time in the water, and yet they breathe air. now, if you were going to design a dolphin, would you make it with lungs, or with gills? a designer with a mind (a good one anyway) would've designed it with gills. instead though, dolphins resemble land mammals that have been altered to meet new needs.

in addition to the lungs, they have jointed finger bones in their flippers. their flippers can't bend at those joints though and the fingers can't separate, so what's the point of having them?? they have no purpose. no designer with a mind would have included that sort of an arrangement in his plan. it makes a lot of sense though if you view the dolphin as a land mammal who became modified to live in the water.

you might wonder how any sort of creature, even such a makeshift water mammal as the dolphin, could come about without any sort of a creator., but the answer lies in that it happened in gradual steps, each one very unimpressive and slight, starting from simple macro-molecules that reproduce according to basic laws of chemistry. you're lucky in that you live during a time when you can actually learn about a great many of the steps if you actually care to invest the time.

in fact, we have a great many answers for a great many topics, and we're learning more with every year. if you take the time to learn about abiogenesis and evolution thoroughly, then i think you'll find that it makes a lot more sense to believe life was designed by mindless, opportunistic processes of nature, rather than an intelligent designer with goals.

The Templeton Prize is in basic terms prestigious to Christians. interior of something of the technological know-how community, it reasons eyerolls because of the fact John Templeton's suggested undertaking is to sell scientists who can reassure him a god exists. Templeton has the funds to try this. Why did Templeton no longer award Ellery Schempp for his 1968 thesis in physics which defined the opportunity of the MRI? because of the fact Schempp is the highschool youngster whose protest brought about overturning prayer in faculties and is a member of the UU Church. you will no longer see Christians like Francisco Ayala or Kenneth Miller triumphing this prize.

These people think they are very intelligent, but in the real world, they are stupid and unintelligent. Anyone who cannot see any further than the end of their nose, is retarded in the ability to see through the eyes of the Creator, they can only see as an ant, no further than their tiny noses. Those are the ones who screech the loudest about their intelligence. They are pathetic.

It is illogical to deny a great creator as the designer.....unless anyone denying the creator....would like to stand up and explain everything.....and I mean absolutely everything to all of us.

Just because the universe is harmonic doesn't mean it was created. It's as it is because it's been "evolving" (does this ring a bell?) for millions and millions of years to come to what it is.

Anyway, why would it get SO hot in summer in this allegedly perfectly made world?

Don't bother to answer. If you want to believe, be my guest. You're hurting no one. But don't expect anyone else to play along. Well, not ME anyway.

I think, in my case, I think the Universe is flawed in many ways and this denots a less than intelligent creator or a lazy one.

Where exactly is this "signature"? Have you found a stamp on the DNA molocule somewhere that reads "Made in Heaven"?

"Perfection"? The universe is constantly adjusting itself and seeking balance. Entire species die when something changes in their environment. Ecosystems break apart when too many species die out...or even if one does. Nice perfection you got there.
