My grandma is coming down from Vegas for a business trip and she want to see me and my brother...we use to live with her and when we moved back with our mom, we didnt really leave on really good terms...now im stuck having to see her on sunday cuz my brother called her...grr...and he made the plans and he didnt want to go alone, so of course im gonna go with him, but i dont want to.
Seeing her would dig up parts of the past that should be left buried...what to do what to do!!!! im desperate!!!!

Look I can imagine what had happened.I understand that seeing her is no pleasure for you but don't make it an issue.Be a part of your family.Be careful not to indulge in long discussions about past.And don't give up when Granny says that you are her cutie little grandson.

you never know how a person can change in 5 years- show some maturity, forgive and treat her with the grace and respect that you would want to be treated with.
No one is perfect, people make mistakes- you can choose to hold on to them, let them eat you up inside and affect the way you treat others and the way you feel about oyurself or you can just let it go- 5 years is a long time to be holding a grudge and deciding beforehand that you are going to have a problem when you see her.
Why don't you DECIDE that you will not. Think of the positive things about her, , show some gratefulness and move on.
YOU hold the shovel- YOU decide whether you are going to dig it up and throw it in her face or llet go and let it be.
