All religions have a different God. They all have different ways to get to heaven. They have a different concept of heaven. If all the gods are the same god then I would say you have a schizophrenic god. He describes himself to some people in one way and describes himself to others in a diametrically opposite way.
What you're saying, as I understand you, is why can't all roads lead to Rome? Why can't we just worship God any way we wish
? I live in Los Angeles. If I take the 10 freeway I can drive straight to Phoenix. In essence, what you are asking is why do I have to take the 10 freeway to get to Phoenix? Why can't I just take any freeway? Because all the other freeways do not lead to Phoenix. If you want to get to heaven you had better make sure all religions lead to heaven. You can worship God any way you want just as you can get on any freeway and drive hoping to get to Phoenix. But you better make sure that freeway goes to Phoenix. I, personally, don't believe the old smorgasborg view of religions which is what you're espousing. It's the idea that you just pick whatever religion you want, they're all the same. Actually, all religions diametrically contradict all other religions and they all say they are coming from God. Logically, the law of non-contradiction just leaves us 2 choices here:1) one is true and all the rest are false 2) they're all false(that has to be considered a logical possibility). But the one option that's not possible is that they are all true(not if they all contradict each other).
If you want to know the true religion you just have to examine the Holy books for the big religions and see if they have any evidense of coming from God. I've done that and I have become convinced that the Bible does have that signature of God and that christianity is the true way. You may not agree and you have every right to disagree but please don't waste your time with 'the all roads lead to Rome' view. All roads don't lead to your mothers house. Just get in your car and try it sometime(driving to your mothers house by taking any road).

It sounds like such a neat idea to lump all of the Gods together and call them "one", but it just isnt' so.

God the Father, as we know him through Jesus Christ is considerably different from the god of Islam, "Allah". Although they profess him to be the same God, the Quran betrays and contradicts the Bible. Furthermore, "Allah" was a pagan moon god from ancient arabia. You know that crescent symbol they use on the Muslim flag? That symbol was found on a pagan idol of "Allah" that predates Islam.

What about all those 50,000+ Hindu gods? Even the main ones like Vishnu and Ganesh and Shiva...are they all the same?

Egypt: Are Osiris and Ra and Set all the same?

Many Catholic sects mention God, but seem to worship the Virgin Mary...? Is she God?

Only one god has sent a representative who could work actual miracles; The God of Abraham and Moses- whose son is Jesus. Think about the message and the history.

Hindus have thousands of gods...

Does the Bible teach that all worship goes to the same God? Consider what is written at 1 Corinthians 10:20: “The things which the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God.”

Satan is reffered to in the bible as " the god of this system of things "

Although there are many gods .. There can only be one TRUE God.

Psalms 83:18

"That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,
You alone are the Most High over all the earth. "

Although people in ancient times worshiped the sun and people in Ancient Greece and Rome worshiped different dieties.

It can not be said that all the gods in the world are the same.

Yes, I think while there are many different names it is still the same energy. For each person God may be a little different to fit that person's personal needs.

No, the Gods are not all the same, they are separate entities. The One true God of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam does not exist.

Yes, i think most religions follow the same idea when it comes to creation and the one supreme being. some religions do ascribe many partners and forms but i think those are just different perceptions of the same thing. Many practices and beliefs differ drastically but i think there is a sort of universal agreement between most religions and the concept of what God is.

There is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and there are smaller "gods", the demigods, who are simply a little more powerful living beings, and they are servants of the Supreme Lord. For example, there is sun god, moon god, fire god, but they are not Supreme Lord, they are highly empowered living entities. A very nice textbook to understand the differences is Bhagavad-gita as it is by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada:

“All religions, all faiths are but phases or facets of the same Universal Faith and Discipline. It is like the story where seven blind men who examined the elephant and described it to others. The man who held the tail in his hand said it was a snake; the man who felt the leg said it was a pillar; the man who examined only the ear swore that the elephant was like a winnowing basket. This story has a deep inner meaning. The Atma (spirit) is one, but, each one sees a fraction of it and judges it differently, while it is the integrated sum of each of these facets that constitute Reality

Depends on the religion...if its of Satan than you know they are going to of course worship Satan. If it is of Islamic faith, than "Allah", which is in my opinion not a real alive god, but a false/dead fake one>Kinda like a cult version. The Jews and Christians have their God, and I think it's the same God but worshiped in different ways/different concepts. So it just depends on the "religion".

There is only one God. The same God that sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to teach us and to die on the cross for our sins
