The rapist should feel remorse. It's the only way to his salvation! However, it's also "normal" to make excuses for the bad that we do. It is a kind of self-defence against guilt and depression but I don't think making excuses would lessen the guilt.

I had a friend who spent 5 years in jail for rape. It wasn't violent, more a case of the girl letting him go so far, then opting out. He stupidly pushed it further and paid the consequences. He really did feel remorse. He blamed alcohol and grass, but knew he did wrong. Maybe he is an exception to the rule. Serial rapists obviously dont feel any remorse at all

well i am not talking on my experience but i think one will be sorry after doing such a sick thing. not just rape.. but anything wrong.
after the lust is over, one will just not remorse , he can't forgive himself.
But nobody deserves to be raped.
it doesn't feel bad at all if you dig your own nose, but what if someone comes and start digging your nose when u are walking or not in mood. thats how the sex and rape differs.

Well if a man rapes - why should I feel remorse. Its the rapist that should feel the remorse....

i think its alful i was raped when i was 13 and definatly didnt deserve it i was asleep and 2 men broke in our house and one raped my sister why the other raped me she was 16 and i was 13 and my my mom was at work but we were old enough to be home alone togeather i never done anything about it legally becouse this is a small town and i didnt want the embarasment of everyone knowing my bussiness but my dad and my step brothers beat the he** out of the guys that did it. know at age 21 theres not a day that goes by i dont think about it at least for a secound but i know god will punish him and my dad and brothers put them in the hospital for a while and everytime i see him i feel like im gonna be sick hes only 5 yrs older than me. but what he done was wrong and he deserves bad things to happen to him not me.
