Thailand, which has been fighting a Muslim separatist movement for two years, has some armed teachers, who carry whatever weapons they need for self defense, and in Israel armed security guards control school entrances. Should Americans emulate these examples?

we don't have bombs going off everyday in the US, so no. although i do believe the generally overweight, lazy, and corrupt police force in many parts of the US is a problem.

I think Americans has to see, what is going wrong in their society. Actually I strongly believe that a good conditioning is must for a child. Means good socialization is must for children. Children of U.S. are going through a tough phase. They should be taught YOGA to release depression. I think it will be a nice idea to reduce such incidents of violence. And i am against teachers carrying weapons in school. Teachers are 'guru', they need chalk, board & good examples to sensitize the children to socialize the future generation of U.S.
