Why wont my dvd player play DVDR's. It says its compatible with them..but they wont work.?

Maybe on the Regional Format of DVD's. If your DVD player aint multi-regional then some DVD's can't be played..

Are you sure your DVD-R discs are finalized? Recorded DVDs will not play on ordinary players unless they have been finalized in the recorder.
