i have asti gionelli, or cooks extra dry champagne from california.. ?? thanks.. any other suggestions on champagnes for mimosa's would be great.. something cheap. thanks

I agree, use the Cooks. You might look for Freixnet, a cheap sparking wine. it's available in SPLITS, which is good - it's about a glass worth of champagne, which is perfect for two mimosas.

well a cheap mimosa is with a sprakling wine, and as we all know the only REAL champage is from france, the champagne region, so at home fresh squeeze the oj then use korbel. not a french champagne but not a sparkling wine either. and korbel is only 1 or 2 dollars more than asti spumatni crap anti

I would use the Cook's or mimosas because the OJ is kind of sweet and the dryness of the Cook's will make a nice balance. Try cranberry juice if you are using a sweeter sparkling wine.

i almost always recommend spanish wines because they are cheap and under appreciated. spain produces a sparkling wine they call cava -- because champagne is supposed to only be from france. try it!
