God says in Qura'n :[2:135] They say: become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided (to salvation). say thou: nay! (i would rather) the religion of Abraham the true, and he joined not gods with God .. Say ye: we believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ismail Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes, and that given to Moses and jests, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: we make no difference between one and another of them: and we bow to God (in Islam) .. So if they believe as ye believe, they are indeed on the right path; but if they turn back, it is they who are in schism; but God will suffice thee schism; but God will suffice thee as against them, and he is the all hearing, the all knowing .. (our religion is) the baptism of God: and who can baptize better than God? and it is he whom we worship.

Whose Abraham is it? Lincoln or your neighbor? If you are talking about Abraham of the Old Testament then it's not going to be easy. Eversince the Old Book, no Jew and not even the Christian religion had thought of putting up a religion in the name of any of the Prophets. Only Christians have churches in the name of the Apostles of Jesus, Jesus and their Saints.
The true Prophet of God just come out, did their mission and fade away of natural death (Old age) and their names are just written in the Book and remembered through the ages. Yet no church or religion is named after them because that is how it should be. When your work is done, you are done and only god knows where you should be.
That is their difference from all those disciples who followed Jesus, they all died as martyrs almost the same way and some even worse than Jesus. But until now their souls have never rest because people still keep calling their names instead of going directly to God. If you want to put a new religion why not in your name and I might follow you but leave the soul of Abraham where he is right now.

The Prophet Abraham pbuh is an unifying figure for the three monotheist religions.Although all three religions describe his life and works a little differently. This extraordinary prophet gave us the concept of one God which he acquired in his native Ur (which is located in present day Iraq). The other interesting fact about the prophet was that he was a man of learning and had , by those days standards, acute ,state of art knowledge of heavenly bodies.
All three religions claim to represent the religion of Abraham.
To follow the religion of Abraham would , in a sense, follow the traditions and teachings of all three monotheist religions. His legacy is claimed by all three religions and the facts of his life and his teachings are bitterly disputed,. The religious text attributed to the prophet has not been preserved , it is therefore difficult to describe what his teachings exactly are.The Jews claim him to be their forefather and therefore attribute Abraham's God to be partial to Jews, the Muslims on the other hand claim that the prophet clearly mentioned that Gods favorite people are those who follow his path and not people belonging to a particular tribe or race or nationality.
It would therefore depend on what you call the religion of Abraham.

Nope. You're on your own dude. Slowly but steadily the rest of the world's realizing that the old myths are just that -- myths.
Join the real world dude. There's more evidence for santa claus than the god of Abraham.
