Sometimes you can not eliminate the infection totally before removing a tooth. Sometimes the best treatment is to remove the source of the infection. Unless your swelling is still huge, I say it's time to get the thing out. Perhaps go on antibiotics for another week prior, but do it. Now all you need is a doctor who agrees with me.

Put all your effort in healing that infection. Make sure you eat nutritious foods, take vitamins, sleep enough hours. Do what it takes to boost your immune system. Get that infection under control and have that tooth pulled.
