I think if it feels right to you to do so, then go for it. You may find at the end, that neither suit you, which is also ok. Take it one day at a time.

Yes that is sound good but sorry I do not know about wicca. Please you study our holy Qur'an which has 114 surah/titles and 6.236 verses in 30 chapters or juz.You must learn also hadith book as an explanation and interpretation of our prophet Muhammad peace be upon him..Yes indeed Islam is a warm and peaceful and lovefull religion.Islamic teaching is spread out by love and not by force. Our holy qur'an is a life guidance from Allah the only one God.If you read it and understand its meanings and then you practice it in your everyday life you will be saved in this world and in the life after death.Islam is showing the right path for goodness in spiritual and physical in this earth and in the life after death. It is better if you start to study indepth Islam starting this sacred month Ramadhan. In the next year Ramadhan you have a firm faith of Isalam the best religion for you.You have the God's grace.Welcome to Islam and be a good follower.

As a muslim i think it amounts to being a kafir. I also think that pretending to wholefully commited to a religion that you are not is worse than just being honest about it. You need to be honest with yourself and i hope that you can find contentment within Islam. If not then drop the pretense and rather follow what you really believe. Its a difficult choice and I dont envy the position that you are in but remeber that whatever you do, if it is not sincere and does not come from your heart then Allah knows your intentions and you are not really decieving anyone. So rather follow what you trully feel is right. That way at least your intentions are pure.

sowi. i misenterpreted the question. i thought you were a muslim converting to something else. the same thing applies though. you wouldnt be a kafir for trying to learn about Islam though. do as much research as possible and try talking to other muslims. I hope you find whatever it is that you are looking for. Try googling Islam you will get a lot of good Islamic Q&A websites that could be quite usefull. you will get a lot of hate speach also so be carefull.

Islam is the religion of warmth and love. Look at the meaning of the word ISLAM. it means surrender.

The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) says:
" the Muslim is he whom people are safe from his/her tongue and hand"

lots of Muslims are giving people the wrong picture about Islam, Media is pitching in with a big role too.

I wasn't a Muslim at first either, or at least I couldn't consider my self a Muslim 'cause I knew nothing about Islam. But now that I know, I know that the religion has nothing to be ashamed of, but the people them selves do.

This is the month of Ramadan, all prayers are accepted, try praying, and you'll reach to a solution by God's will.

islam never pressure you to be a muslim, it all depands on you that when you feel comfortable, you cant put schedule or time limits on any task, thier are different variables occurs/things happens in life which makes the manmade schedule fail or success.
not all muslims knows every thing islam teaches, but life is a learning experience, once you become muslim, you will have plenty of time to do your research.

Islam is only attribute..We can say to people that we r Islam, but do you ever think once if Allah accept your Islam??? the answer are: keep doing good deeds for human and nature, you love human and nature like you love your self, Then you only believe that there is only one God to rule this world, God doesn't need companion, son or holyspirit to do his Job. If you do that you r Islam all ready. All religion teaches good deeds including Islam. but Islam is the only religion to teach you to worship only to one God and no comparable for God.

Take your time.

You have until your death to learn about Islam so don't worry about a timetable.

Its easy to feel comfortable in the religion you are born into because that is what you are familiar with. Alhamdulillah, you've taken the first step of trying to learn about Islam.

May you be guided.

My advice is that you can also start learning Arabic so that you can appreciate the Quran in its original Arabic. Quran uses very few words(total around 1900 root words) compared to other Arabic literatures so I think it won't be very difficult to study. Quran is considered a Miracle by Muslims, since Quran challenges those who deny it to produce a chapter similar to it in eloquence.
