I've recently received my IATA card and am trying to make the most of travel agent benefits. Aside from directly calling hotels & attractions..is there a good, free resource online to find specific discounts and comps?

I work for Hotels.com and the IATA card is a perk, so I don't have prime info readily available, or rather, I don't know where to access it. I primarily want some tips on where to look.

Depends on do you want to find the best discounts? Or best discounts for the destination you have of interest at that time?

FAMS of course, but those are hotel type inspections usually and can get to be very "work like". There are independent FAMS such as Elite Island Resorts has a great one for agents to 5 different Caribbean Islands. Globus has 50 % off booking the tour 1 month in and I think it's 30 % off 2 or 3 months out? Lots of vendors have something or another. Just figure out at any given time what you want to do and then you should know where to look for these travel agent prices.

As far as I know there isn't a free resource site online to find specific info. Sorry....

I gave mine up - total waste of time. If you are in the business, look in the back of the TTG or Travel Weekly at the Travel Agents Travel Club stuff. By far and away the best - you will need the usual Resolution 880 to be signed for most of them. If you are in the business, you will know what I mean!
