Another thing i heard was that (according to the Muslim) Abraham was called my God to heaven. There he saw his father who did not convert to Islam and was about to be thrown into hell. So Abrahan spoke to his father and said, why didnt you listen to me and convert to Islam, now you are being thrown into hell. So God being sorry for Abraham turned his father into a hyenia with blood flowing all over its body and threw it into the burning hell so that Abraham will not be sad of his father being thrown into hell... Are all these stories true? or are just made up by the Muslims...this is to show that Abraham was a Muslim....

ok. this is typically the kind of myths and rumors that circulate about religions.
all the three religions: judaism, christianity and islam are abrahamic religions. the first visionary was abraham. it is from his descendents that you have the three prophets. and remarabkly the story of genesis of the three religions is the same.
according to the quran. abraham was the first follower, and god told him to distance himself from non-believers however close they were to him. he did just that. he knew that whether it was reward or punishment, the Almighty wud take care of it.
according to the quran too, when he realised his father wud remain an unbeliever, he just distanced himself from his father. allah forgave him. told him that it was good he had tried, but since the matter was beyond arbaham's control, he shud just step back, and let allah punish the non-beleivers.
the quran does not give so many details about magic and prophets performing magic. the messenger, prophet mohammed (pbuh) makes it very clear that god showed his magic, gave powers to abraham, moses and jesus, but unbeilevers still want more, and were never convinced. it was the last call to the human world, believe in god--unconditionally. dont doubt Him. trust Him and dont seek proof, just trust Him. trust Him with ur life and death, with ur justice and injustice.
if u can understand the fact that He created you, and that He can hear the heartbeat of the ant and the elephant, of everything on land and under it and under the water..............He knows all. if u can recognize Him, u can recognize his powers. and if u can recognize His powers, u will automatically submit to it.
the place where the religions differ, is in interpreting the role of the messenger who gave the word of God to the world.
as far as stories go.......well they have a habit of just proping up from human imagination. no??

Abraham pbuh is a respected and revered prophet of Islam. The story you have related has no basis. Neither the Koran nor the Hidayat narrate any such story.
Abraham was the prophet who gave us the concept of one God , according to the Koran he challenged the established order of his people and was reported by his father to the King of Ur,who wanted to punish the prophet for his rebellion but being a pious man God prevented any harm coming to him.
The basic difference between what the Muslims and the Jews say about prophet Abraham is that the Jews claim that Abraham's God was partial to Jews and had promised the Jewish people to be the chosen elite . The Muslims attribute the teachings of Abraham pbuh to state that acceptance of God can only be achieved by following the right path and by acting in the correct manner and way and not by being a member of a particular tribe, race or nationality.

Where did get this crap? I'm a Muslim and I've never heard of this nonsense.
Abraham was called "Khalil-ul-lah" meaning "The Friend of God". He did not agree with the worship of idols. His father Azar and the rest of his people were worshiping idols made of stone. He kept on arguing with his father telling him "why do you pray to idols that are made of stone, can't speak and can't do you no harm or good?". So he pissed off his dad and was sent away from his presence.
One night, Abraham went into the temple and destroyed all the idol gods and left only one of them, the largest one. He also put the Axe he used to destroy the gods in the big guy's hand.
When they came into the temple the next morning they found all their idols destroyed. Eventually, they found out that someone saw Abraham going into the temple, so the brought him and asked him if he destroyed their gods. Abraham replied back something to the effect of "No, it was that big guy over there. He's the one who did it. So, why don't you ask him?".
The people were baffled, and figured out that Abraham was playing with their minds and mocking their useless stone idols, so they threw him into a blazing fire they set up for him, but with God's permission, the fire was cold on his skin.
This is the truth about Abraham and his father Azar in the Qur'an, not that ridiculous, and fictitious story you posted above!

He was not, he was a monotheist. There is no way for Abraham to be a Muslim because Islam was founded by the Prophet Muhammad in the year 610 *after* Jesus. Muslim history considers Khadījah, the first wife of the Prophet, to be the first Muslim ever.

To answer your question and to clarify some of the other answers. I am a Muslim, and I have never heard of these stories. They are false and a bunch of lies.
Abraham was/is a Muslim, Also all the other prophets were/are Muslims, from Adam to Noah to Moses to David to Jesus (Isa) and all the ones in between and finally Mohammed were and are Muslims. What does it mean to be a Muslim? What does Muslim mean in Arabic? Muslim means, the one who submits to the will of God. Do you (the reader) breath? Yes, and God willed it. So what does that make you? It makes you a Muslim!!! This earth follows an orbit, the moon, the sun, the universe, all follow the will of God. They are all Muslim. Now the issue is, are you willing to accept / submit. He (God, Allah) has given you free will to choose, I think it is about time you did your research. Here is a website to get you started:

enjoy, and I welcome you into the faith, if you choose to enter.

Yes actually it is spoken in our holy Qur'an that Abraham parents were not believe in Allah as the only one God.His parents paid worship to statues which have been made by his father. At a certain night,Abraham went to the place where his father's statues were storied.Abraham destroyed all statues except the biggest one.In the morning his father called him and asked who have destroyed statues.Abraham told him that the biggest statue did that..He told to his father if he did not trust him please asked to the biggest one.Abraham was burned by the king at that time but he was saved by Allah.Abraham assisted by his son Ismael is the founder of kabaa the centre of this rearth as God'house which is used as a direction of praying for all muslims in this world.Abraham is called the prophets of prophets. He is the pre founder of principles of Islamic religion. His parents will go to hell but Abraham will be in heaven in line with Islamic teaching
.Islamic pilgrimage is the historical traces of Abraham and his son Ismael such as tawaf walking around kabaa, sai walking from safaa to marwa hills and stones throwing to satans in Mina.
.Ismael is the inventor of zam zam water in the centre of masjidil haram the biggest mosque which can cure some diseases and be drunk by millions of muslims and muslimas each year but never dry.Muhammad prophet pbuh was a descendant of Abraham from his son Ismael..Idul Adha the holy day of muslims where we should slaughter goats for the poor people is based on Abraham and Ismael history. So we can tell that Abraham was a muslim too.
