my friend said a few days ago the paper said we were allowed to bring liquid stuff like that on a plane again..so can i?

It depends where you are flying from.

For flights originating in the UK, you are still not allowed to bring any liquids on board as hand luggage.

You need to put all liquids (except baby formula - in which case you have to taste it in front of security) into checked baggage.

For flights originating anywhere other than the UK, you should be fine.

a couple of pairs of contact lenses are fine, both in their case and still in the wrapper; put them in your transparent plastic bag as they have liquid, and they will go through security - I've done it many times. The problem is the solution - it has been a real nuisance for ages because the contact lens companies sell a travel size which is 120ml, which WILL be confiscated. Sounds like you have found a smaller bottle, but if not, put the bottle in your hold luggage. It is unlikely to go missing, but if it does it is easy to find contact lens solution in most places.

You can bring a small bottle (4oz) on the plane. Just got mine checked last week.

Yes, you can bring liquids if under 3 oz...you can also go past security now and buy soda and take it on board as long as it's purchased there
