so I totally fell for this clever guy at work. he dumped me after he found out his ex still had feelings for him and it's just really hard to work around either one of them. He's confused stil... but likes her more than me so that's why he decided to just screw me over. I think quitting would be immature or I'm not sure if I should I just pretend like everything's fine wihen it isn't or should I just ignore them both at work which is kind of hard because i wwork as a waitress with like 4 other people. any suggestions on how to deal with this messed up situation?

Sorry for the heartache. To be quite honest I'd say quit your job (if it was that easy getting another one or if you don't need the money). Seeing the two of them together is painful and I'm sure they, especially the girl will be rubbing it in your face everytime, it's even tougher when you see them so happy together. With all that said if you quit you'll be giving them the satisfaction. If you can and I mean really CAN continue working there and pretend you don't care anymore, smile with both of them and so on.
Off course the best remedy for me to move on is to keep my distance from my ex and that way I'll forget about him and move on.
So if you are able to move on with him being right in your face with his girl, then continue working there but if not try and look for another job and if you get it move to that new job (being jobless is not a nice thing especially for females).

I would quit, but like you said that would be sort of immature. My best advise would be to get different hours from them or just try to act like nothings wrong eventually over time you won't care as much but if its too tough then get another job who cares if your immature you're hurt and you need to do whats gonna work best for you good luck ( 4get the asshole there are plenty more fish in the sea)

My solution is to bring it out in the open, by making snide remarks to them. Ask him if he's still confused. Ask her how's her love life. I'm sure you get the idea, and can probably think of many more remarks to hit home. While you're making your point, that will take your mind off your pain. And before you know it, you'll be able to let it go. GOOD LUCK!

hmmm.....ok if you can't bear with it..then resignation is the least option you could choose. You can't focus on your work in a situation like that.....your performance will surely get affected...so before everything gets into your system. It will be hard for you to move on if you see them everyday and avoiding them won't do good anyways....so for the meantime you got to move out for another job...it will help you better....new environment...new people...new challenges...and perhaps the one for you is just waiting out there...lol ;)

u must get over him and no more giving him chances...why would u put yourself thru this??? he doesnt care, he treats u like an object...your human and have feelings.....i dumped my guy tonight cauz he wasnt over his ex and screwed me over to , didnt wanna commit and kept playing me...it will be hard but a year from now it wont hurt as much and you will move on

move on don't even give him the satisfaction that he hurt you. just pretend that it was nothing. i know it's easier said then done but trust me it will make you feel better.
