God answers all prayers. Sometimes the answer is "No"

No naming names...no specifics. Otherwise, God will give me what I want without telling me that I just might be miserable for it. He is funny that way. I have learned to ask only for what I am meant to have... only what I absolutely need. I have learned to be happy no matter what happens because whatever happens... was planned by Him and not just something I didn't know better than to beg for in a prayer : )

Your prayer shouldn't be for happiness... but for joy. It happens that a few months ago I heard a pastor say in his sermon, "Jesus could care less if you are happy... he cares if you are faithful."

And it's true in a religious point of view... If you feel compelled to do something... what you might consider your calling... it doesn't matter if you are happy... but if you are faithful in the calling. I served as minister for a number of years; some of which were absolutely hard and miserable. If you are in ministry, you are in the people business... and people are difficult and hard to get along with sometimes. But you have to keep chugging along... sometimes alone.

Personally I think religious people are delusional... but I do respect your decision to believe. With that said you should focus more on finding peace and joy with your Lord than with being happy. Happiness is just an emotion. Emotions are just physiological storms in the brain.

You don't have to beg, dear. God wants you to be happy. But happiness is not found pursuing things you think will make you happy. There is a secret that very few people will ever discover, and it's in this statement that Jesus made: "those who seek to keep their life will lose it, but those who lose their life for my sake, will find it". True happiness comes when you give up your very life and let God direct your steps completely. He alone knows what is best for you, and will not withhold good things for you if you trust Him. In fact, you could not imagine the kind of life God has for you...if you let Him order your life from here on in.

Let me tell you the way I see prayer as. Pray with faith believing that God has already done it for you and it shall be done.
Ok, now is my own thought regarding that. It's like you're in marathon and you're running towards a finishing line. Now, all you have to do is walk, run - it's your choice and you will get to the finishing line. The line will not move towards you but vise versa. That's how faith is. You move towards faith (the finishing line) and happiness will come to you, why? because God has fulfilled his Word, "Whoever asks of anything in my (Jesus Christ) it shall be done.
Do you get it? It is done. You just have to be patient and have faith. God never said if I don't do it immediately beg, no, he said ask and it shall be done. We are God's children and joint heirs. He doesn't want to see us beg, the Devil wants us to beg but that's not the way it's supposed to be.

Prayer is good. Praying in a selfish way is not good. Pray this and you will receive happiness.

God Help me to do your will, not mine. Build me and mold me to better serve you. Relieve my difficulties that I help others with your power, your love and your ways.

Happiness is simple. Give to others and do for others.Don;t expect anything in return. Do one good deed a day and don't tell anyone. Continue this daily and you will live a very happy life.

Yea, but everyday with the Lord is sweeter than the day before, so just walking with God in the right light brings me all the happiness that i need, what I really pray for is that other people too can gain the happiness that you can attain by giving your life to Christ, so tonight I shall pray for you :)

God answers all prayers in time. One cannot have 100% complete happiness until they are in heaven with God. I usually pray to be as happy as I can be at this point in my life. He works in mysterious ways.

Accept that life will be challenging. Through hard work and responsibility you can live the best life available to you. I am thankful for my happiness and hope for continued happiness.

No one has to beg God for anything because when one prays, he only needs to believe and God will grant him the petition that is required of him.
