St. Pauli Girl is my favorite German beer.
Beck's is ok. Over in Germany, Binding beer was one of the local favorites. I also liked a brand called Tucher Liechen.

Germany has A LOT of beers that you can only get there. Even some regions have their own, for example up north a very popular brand is Konig Pilsner, not sold in the south. But if you are looking for German beers in the US, look for Holston.......

Go to a store that sells many imports and ask for a beer pronounced "heffy visen" I believe it is spelled heffeweitzen. Get a special weitzen glass and a couple of lemons. Pour contents in the bottle but leave a little at the bottom of the bottle. Take the bottle and rub it back and forth in the palms of your hands vigorously to get the yeast sediment off the bottom, then pour the remaining contents into the glass. Float a slice of lemon on top and enjoy...best damn beer drink on the face of the earth!!! SERIOUSLY!!!
