You already have abs, everyone does, the problem is that they are hidden under a layer of fat. The best way to let your abs show through is regular exercise combined with a sensible diet. It will take some time depending on how much weight you need to lose but the results will be worth it! The best way to burn off the pounds is regular cardio at least 20 minutes each day so that you get your heart rate up and your lungs working and don't forget to drink lots of water it helps your body to flush out the toxins and also helps to lose weight.

First of all if you have any flab you'll need to get rid of it first or you'll never see your abs. A really great workout that I do is by Gilad. He has a show on fit tv and his web site is http://www.bodiesinmotionwithgilad.com. He has some really great workouts. I"ve tried just about all of them and I like him the most.

My understanding is that the first priority is to not be fat. I heard you have to be in the range of 10-15% body fat (maybe less than that) before you can even see the definition. Then to define them take reptitions of abdominal exercises. There's so many methods, but at least you can do most of them at home without any equipment at all! Good luck!
