NO NO NO NO NO!!!! Give your body time to heal! Give it at least 6 weeks sweetheart. That was a tramatic event enough as it was. Do not risk get an infection. Sex will cause tearing and enough stuff has been up there, if you know what I mean. Just give your body time to heal and fix some of those hormones going through your body right now.

Yech, I don't think so. Seems like it'd be way too soon. I should think wherever you had this procedure done should have told you that or given you written instructions before you left. Maybe WebMD would have some answers for you. As for the Dutch Girl, who made the nasty comment about your mom, screw her. I'm not for abortion in general, but when I think of all the abused or starving kids in the world & the Hell some of them go through makes you wonder. I still believe things happen for a reason & that life is one big lesson after another. I think Dutch Girl needs to learn when to keep her mouth shut. The only thing she accomplished by making such a statement is pissing people (who might be open to her opinion) off.

Not usually no. You should wait at least one more week. Your body needs to heal and your cervix is a bit touchy I'm sure. Just go to your post abortion check up and everything will be fine. There's nothing wrong with wanting sex right after an abortion. A lot of these answerers are ignorant that's all. Just ignore it. You know what you did was the right choice given yourself and your circumstances.

I am not for abortions, but it is your right to have one.
However, I don't think you should be having sex for a long time. As for health risks..
You need to first ask your doctor who performed the abortion to be sure when you should resume sexual activity. But, to be safe, like with a real birth, WHICH YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD, I would wait 6 -8 weeks, be checked by a gyno, and be put on birth control.
If you do however want to have sex, I would still ALWAYS use a condom, and if you happen to start bleeding, go to the emergancy room ASAP.
Now, on a personal note, don't have sex if you don't want to have a baby! It doesn't always end in that, but just remember the first perpose of sex...to make kids! NOT KILL THEM!

NO NO NO absolutely not. U need to go get checked out. they tell you 6 weeks for a reason. you can get serious infections that can be very harmful to you and you are already tore and stuff on the inside from the abortion and now you stuck a lubricated condom up in there. seriously i would go be checked out.

no, aren't you still bleeding and passing huge tissue clots? I looked on the planned parenthood site and it said that you would be. Your cervix has been forced open and is now vulnerable to infection. You aren't even supposed to insert a tampon. You cannot insert a latex swathed penise in there either.

I think I was told to wait at least a week, to 10 days, but if you're feeling up to it, then I don't see why not, as long as you aren't still bleeding.
