This is what I know.

Afghanistan twice the size of Iraq has LESS military presence than Iraq. Afghanistan which is almost the size of Texas has fewer military presence than the NYC's police, meaning there are more police in New York than U.S. boots on the ground in Afghanistan. In 1992-94, there were 24,000 U.S. troops in Somalia for a "HUMANITARIAN" efforts, and NOT WAR. But when it comes to WAR in Afghanistan and Iraq, there are fewer number of soldiers.
