Local restaurants will often donate 10-15 % of sales for a charity. You would be responsible for bringing in the business..possibly handing out "coupons" for the agreed upon percentage..off site..then everyone who hands in a coupon during your alotted timeframe..you get a percentage of their total.

You can pass out the coupons at school...neighborhoods..and ask the charity to help as well. I know McDonalds does fundraisers often or you could check with other local restaurants..or service oriented businesses in your area.

Just the general ones -

Get a prize donated and raffle it off. Although you might need a license from the town for the raffle. The donor gets free advertising for its business.

Send people to prison! Have prominent people sit in a mock jail cell and have them call their friends to "post bail" (charitable contributions) to get them out. Set the bail amount with the person in advance. Have the local paper cover it. Community leaders get good publicity for doing a good deed.

Car wash day - get a good, safe location where carrs will see it. Publicize it in advance.

Or if it's just you, bake cookies to sell, or something like that.

That's all I had at hand. Good luck!!!

I did a dart throwing contest to raise money.

I bought a cork board and safe tipped darts and a whole bunch of ballons and went to the local stores and asked for prizes to give out if I mentioned them at the contest (which I did) It's fast and fun and everyone has a blast doing it.
