I just bought the Canon SD700IS. It is a 6 MP camera. You may not be happy with the 4x optical and 4x digital zoom. But for a pocket camera it is great!! I have had so many compliments on this camera and the pics I have taken with it. But this is what closed the deal on the camera with me. It has the Image Stabilizer feature. I will never buy another camera without this feature. You can literally shake the camera and it will still take an awesome and totally clear picture! I would suggest this camera to anyone who is looking for a good pocket camera.

Yes ok choice. I like the design & the dual lens. but the bluetooth compatibility ? Not sure how much actual use one might make of it, when its already so simple to just plug into the PC via a USB lead & use it wthout any special software ( windows XP ).

6mp is on the Kodak is ok, but to my mind its always 'pixels pixels pixels'.

Therefore my choicewould be something like the Samsung L85, which is 8 mega pixels, can be connected via HDMI to an HD TV for brilliant quality display ( ordinary composite AV connections give dreadful reproduction on a TV ) & has a fantastic movie mode.
The Samsungs optical (5x) & Digital zoom(8x) work more seamlessly than I have seen any camera do. Simply no blurring when it moves into digital zoom mode. The 40x zoom with both combined is simply marvellous. The 8mp's mean that you can zoom way down into a picture when you display it on a PC & get fantastic detail without it going 'blocky' after a couple of zooms.

Best Digicam I have ever used.

Sony, Kodak, Pentax, Panasonic.. I'd say Kodak very good and user friendly.... Also Canon or any other. The higher the resolution the better the pic

No, I don't think the V610 is a good choice.
Its image quality is not good enough.
I would suggest Canon S3 IS for much better quality.
A quote from a well-known review site (regarding the V610)..."It's by no means a bad camera, it's just a camera that promises a lot more than it delivers, and one that - if judged purely on its output - is outperformed by most of its competitors".
