No. A W-2 is an official government form.
If your employer fails to send you a W-2 you can use any payroll info when you file you taxes.
The employer who fails to send a W-2 is in violation of federal law
& can be fined or punished for that.

Also, a W-2 will have just that, "W-2", on it somewhere, usually at the top.
