I have 25 pictures from my BFF's bachelorette party on a picture disc and I can't see them. Please tell me I can recover them!!! They're in xmp format instead of gif, jpg, jpeg...

Apparantly since the xmp files are only a few kb big it is not a picture. :( Please see my other question if you know how to recover pictures from a formatted xD-picture card!

XMP stands for Extensible Metadata Photo file, I think. It is a fairly new Adobe product which is part of Acrobat and which is used for photo editing. It is supposed to be able to open photo files that are in any format. I'm not sure, from what you said, exactly what your problem is. However if you go to the Adobe site on the Internet and search the Knowledge base about XML it might lead you to your answer. Computers are irritating beasts -- aren't they!
