Hello, I have windows xp, and I have a plextor 48-24-48 cr-r/cd-rw drive. Since I have been using the drive, I have only used it for burning cd-r type disks. I recently bought a few cd-rw, but the drive wont burn them. Actually windows doesn't see that there is a disk in the drive. The software that came with the drive has since been discontinued, as well as being no longer supported. I went to plextor website and updated drive firmware, but it didn't help. I can make cd-r with many free options like real player, yahoo music, or quintessential player. I don't know of any free cd-rw burning software titles. I also don't know enough about the situation to understand if this is a software issue or if there is a problem with my drive. I would appreciate any help that anyone could offer with this issue. Thanks

there are a number of hassle-free strategies to try this, one is to get a cd burning software (alongside with roxio or nero{nero is better}) if no longer that, discover the archives, flow to my laptop (or homestead windows explorer it is plenty better to apply) and then paste it onto the cd.
