You have to know why you believe what you believe. And then do you truely believe it. The best way to help others is not to instill ready made answers into them. It is to help them to think for themselves. So just by you being there and presenting your ideas, you are challenging thier beliefs. They may act like they blow off your ideas, but I guarentee you that when they are alone they will think about them.

Why discuss religion or politics with them then? You must have other things you can discuss. Your views are not the only ones or necessarily the correct ones, everyone has their own opinon and you should not be cramming yours down any ones throat. That's how adults COPE...

I don't talk politics or religion with family that has different views. There is so much more stuff to talk about with them.

In my family we all dont agree on religion and politics, but we agree to disagree and leave it at that....
