We have a chronically sick child and two healthy children. We love them all and are doing everything we can for them. But we feel like we are going crazy. Anyone else out there having that same problem? What do you do about it?

NO YOUR NOT GOING CRAZY .... you are feeling overwhelmed by the situation at hand I can relate to your situation as I have been through the same thing... 2 healthy children and one chronically ill child. My thoughts go out to you all as you did not say what your special one was chronically ill with. There are services that can help you depending on the severity of the child and where you are living

Share love and embrace every moment.

Are there hospitals in your area (particularly one that treats your child) that have programs for the parents of chronically ill children? Have you talked to social services departments in any hospitals to ask about getting some kind of support, even if that's nothing more than getting a few tips and some emotional support?

My daughter has VUR. she is on antibiotics indefinitely for the next 4-5 years.

As long as she doesn't have an infection, everyday is normal. But there is always worry in the back of my mind.. always freaking out when a fever spikes or she shows typical cold symptoms.

I never try to think of the worst that could happen. And i never worry around her. even though shes only a year old.. she knows when things just arent right.

I treat her as if there were nothing wrong with her at all as long as it doesnt affect her kidneys.. which most things dont.. and shes just fine..

Good luck to you.
