I think the positioning of some of the teeth in the mouth, makes it difficult to get around to it and floss it effectively.

How do you combat this?

yes, it can be difficult at first, if you have trouble getting between the teeth, maybe you should try Glide floss, it works really good for tight contact. Also if you cant reach the back molars you can try the floss on a stick. The more you floss, the better and faster you'll be.Good Luck

I find it to be easier to floss nowadays then when I first started 3 months ago (before that I never flossed, now I do it everyday). I do find the back teeth hard to reach, but I still try to floss them.

Some teeth grow very tight together and at odd angles - I think we all have a little trouble with certain teeth and flossing them properly.

I tend to wrap my floss as close to my finger times as possible to get the difficult spots. Once you get the technique though, it becomes second nature.

Can you brush too hard? Yes. Can you floss too hard? Yes and no. You cannot floss your teeth too hard, but you can floss your gums too hard. Be gentle when flossing. Why brush gently and not floss gently? Either way you'll be hurting yourself if you do either hard.

Practice. There are other devices that can be used if it is very difficult to get floss in some spaces. Ask your dentist about a Perio-Aid.
