Which is better: Cable or Satellite? It's a question we've all been asked, but what's really the difference? Does the difference in prices really make up for what you gain?

Well I've been on both. I'm on satalite now, and its pretty good. You get allot of channels for the money, but alot of the channels are trash. Way to many channels trying to sell you something & allot that I never watch. You have to buy a big package to get allot of movie channels, and they seem to run over & over & over for months. By the time you get new ones, you can recite the old ones from start to finish. The downfall to satalite is that even during a heavy rain, you will lose satalite feed., and heavy winds affects it. Storms when you need it the most, well forget it, I keep rabbit ears hooked up for local channels for weather warnings. so I hope I helped you., and no I hate the dish sticking on my house., not attractive at all. So good, luck!!!!! (its cheaper than cable, I think)

Satellite is better. It is a more direct signal to you're reciever because for every hundred feet of cable you lose like 60 MhZ Sattalite doesnt lose much because theres only a few feet of cable. Also you get more channels for the price.

Cable has an outage averge of about 5 hours a year.Satellite has only 8 seconds average outage if installed properly.

Switched from Adelphia(cable) to Dish community 21/2 years in the past and prefer it. experts- a million.more competitively priced than cable and extra perfect programing 2. No wires to be blown down, knocked down,or by coincidence decrease. 3.Cable provider has a acceptance of being spotty. 4.I stay in south Florida and through the previous 3 hurricanes Frances,Jean, and Wilma I had satellite tv for pc television till the skill went out ,my acquaintances with cable lost thier cable even as the winds began to truly kick up. Cons- a million.satellite tv for pc is going out intermittantly duing heavy thunderstoms or truly thick cloudy days.

I went with satellite. Its definitely got the better picture. The whole 'picture goes out if it rains' thing is overblown. I only lose the picture when it rains so hard that I think about building an Ark.
I lose connection with my cable Internet more often than I do with my satellite TV.

depends on location

I live in a small rural town but we have a heck of a cable provider. It costs half of what satellite would run. If I moved to where my parents lived (15miles) the cable company will break me, so satellite is best there. Sometimes when it is snowing heavily, the satellite reception will breakup and appear digitized.

Definetly Satellite, not just because I work with DISH network, but it is also less expensive and has much better picture and sound quality,if u wanna get hooked up give me a call at 1-800-942-9934 X 4744. I have had DISH network for 5 years after having Comcast for 10 years and it is so much better.

Satellite is less expensive but cable gives you a VERY fast internet connection. Tough call.

Depends on the cable system. I prefer Dishnetwork. There are far more channel options and I love the tv guide. It has never given us a bit of trouble in the 4 years we have had it. You can also subscribe to your local channels too.. :) Elaine

Personally, I'd call it a draw - the benefits and limitations just about balance out.
