Eating meat may be a sin - anyway it sure is disgusting to see blood running out of somebody's food. But blood transfusions have nothing to do with eating - eating is done with the mouth, not with a tube stuck in your arm!

The Bible only states one use for blood - for sacrifice. Noah and his sons were allowed to add animal flesh to their diet, but they were strictly commanded not to eat blood. (Genesis 1:3, 4) This applied not only to Noah and his family, but to mankind from that time forward. The blood of an animal that was killed for food was to be poured out on the ground and covered with dust. (Leviticus 17:13, 14) Deliberately violating this command was punishable by death. (Leviticus 17:10; 7:26, 27; Numbers 15:30, 31) The command not only applied to the Israelites, but also to strangers residing among them. Under the Christian arrangement, the command continues to be in effect. (Acts 15:22, 28, 29)
The important thing is to maintain our integrity to God.

I am a witness and i'll give 2 scriptures for why we do not accept blood in any form, although we do appreciate good health care and take blood expanders or any other options available.
Genesis 9; 4 Only flesh with its soul- its blood - u must not eat
Acts 15; 28-9 For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to u, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled (i.e. meat that hadn't been bled - my words) and from fornication. If u carefully keep yourselves from thise things , u will prosper. Good health to u.

by old testament law, it is indeed against the rules to consume blood.
but blood transfusion would be allowed by at least jewish belief, I would figure due to the priority of preservation of life before nearly all other laws.
Levidicus 7:26: "And ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings. "
and consumption of human blood would of course be cannibalism of a sort, but strangely enough I don't have a quote for that one... lol, but thats kinda self evident as something you aren't supposed to do.

Please overlook approximately answer # a million. How stupid. there became a regulation in the previous testomony cases that they shouldn't consume meat with blood nonetheless in it. Jesus replaced all of that for the time of his existence in the international and the recent testomony proves that by telling us Christ suggested to no longer call something he has offered for us, as sin. So, that superceded the previous rules of no longer ingesting specific issues.

The Bible says to abstain from blood. If disobedience is sin, then so be it.

Human blood? Or any blood? Eating the blood of chickens isn't a sin. Cannibalism is a sin.
The LDS Church is not scriptural. If that's what you're really asking.
