Ketoconazole cream is used to treat tinea corporis (ringworm; fungal skin infection that causes a red scaly rash on different parts of the body), tinea cruris (jock itch; fungal infection of the skin in the groin or buttocks), tinea pedis (athlete's foot; fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes), tinea versicolor (fungal infection that causes brown or light colored spots on the chest, back, arms, legs, or neck), and yeast infections of the skin. Prescription ketoconazole shampoo is used to treat tinea versicolor. Over-the-counter ketoconazole shampoo is used to control flaking, scaling, and itching of the scalp caused by dandruff.Ketoconazole is in a class of antifungal medications called imidazoles. It works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection.

I've tried many types of dandruff shampoo (head and shoulders, selsun blue, etc. ) and the only one that really works is called "Nizoral". you can find it at walmart and in the supermarket. it's better smelling than the other ones too. Nizoral contains a kind of fungicide. Did you know that most forms of dandruff are caused by overgrowth of a fungi that lives on your scalp?

It depends on if your regular skin is oily or not. Because it could be dandruff or a dry scalp. Try Head & Shoulders if that doesnt work you may have a dry scalp and treat it for that instead. Trust me, there is a difference.

Cut lemon and apply the juice of that it will help you a lot do it twice in a month but not more than that and take regular head baths like thrice in a week and let your hair get dry before you knot it

Get some grease and oil your scalp. Some dandruff shampoo may help by leaving your scalp less dry but you need some moisture down there.

Natural homemade remedy for dandruff.
Mix coconut oil, milk and lemon then apply
Smash curry leaves in curd and apply for 20 minutes.
Mix green dhal powder and curd and apply in the scalp. Keep it for ½ hour, good for dandruff.................read more-----

any anti dandruff shampoo should control it. like t-gel or head and shoulders. should do the trick or see your doctor about the condition.
