is it an instrumental tech cause that's what I was told, please help

One of two people. There are surigal nurses and surgical technicians (OR Tech/Scrub Tech). Either of them assist the surgeon during a procedure. There is always another in the room called a circulator. This person is not scrubbed sterile so they may get anything the surgeon needs if it isn't already on the field.

Usually a surgical nurse, but it could be a technician or even another Doctor depending on the situation.

In the operating theatre she / he is called the "Scrub Nurse", as they are the nurse that has Scrubbed for the procedure.
