Not every homeless person is homeless because they are a drunk. If you're appalled by beggars, why don't you find out what you can DO to prevent the things that make people dependent upon the charity of others?
Many people are there because of mental health issues. Perhaps they can't afford medical care or prescription medicines. They may be too far gone to know how to ask for help.
Teens run away or get kicked out and become homeless. Women get out of abusive situations and can't make it financially and become homeless. God forbid it should happen to you or I.
If you want to hand out bottles of whiskey, you do that. I think it would serve you better to spend some time learning mercy and compassion.

Whether you give a homeless person money or whiskey, what you have done is given someone who has nothing -- no friends, no family, no work, no home, no money, nothing -- a little bit of joy in their lives. Giving joy to those who have none is a terrific gift of kindness. I think we all enjoy drinking now and then, and a homeless person is probably a little bit happier drunk, just like we all are. I know if I were homeless I wouldn't mind a stranger handing me a bottle of whiskey, what a gift! But how can you judge whether a homeless person just wants alchohol, so it is perhaps best to just give some coin and let them decide what to do with it. Then you have given to those who have nothing without judgement.
Homeless people give all of us the opportunity to be compassionate, whether we act on that opportunity is our choice, just as it is the homeless person's choice what to do with what we give them.
Which do you suppose God will look down upon more negatively, he who begs for money and then buys alcohol with it, or he who tightens his heart, judges another as worthless, and then turns his back on those who are in need?
There is absolutely no way that God will not smile upon those who give to those who have nothing. If you think otherwise, then perhaps it is you who is truly homeless.

Yup, that is quite alright. Good deed. And it's also good, because if he doesnt drink whiskey then he could barter it for like a blanket or new shoes from his buddies.

Not all homeless are alcoholics. I would never consider giving them alcohol even if they were. I usually give BREAD, PEANUT BUTTER, and FRUIT.
