Yes Crystal, it is hard to understand especially since our's is a nation of immigrants who came and took this land from the Natives herding them into reservations and breaking every treaty ever made with them. Then these 'immigrants' sat back and wrote their law which makes immigration here a legal issue.
A border wall that keeps illegals out also makes us shut-ins in our own nation. None will profit except he who makes a 'killing' from the construction at the expense of the taxpayer. We ARE a nation of immigrants. That is what has made us great.
For the Christian who quoted the Bible, thou shall not steal, here's one for you Exodus 22; 20:
“You shall not molest or oppress an alien, for you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt.”
Food for thought:
Remember the Berlin Wall? We are not communists. We do not need a Wall of Shame. Our own citizens are worse abusers of the welfare system; immigrants should be allowed to assimilate so long as they are productive. The rest should be deported. Fair immigration laws are the answer, not Minute Men, not a Wall of Shame and certainly not bigotry and hatred.
Here is a Christian thought for the rest of us:
To whom much is given, much is expected...

there is something wrong when people get so much enjoyment at others misfortune it goes back to upbringing its not a cultural thing its not race or creed thing. its just people. take this forum as an example. some judge people by there own experiences there some people in this forum that are actually concerned and supportive of you and are actually helping . but once in a while you have those who would like to just sit back and make snide remarks insult you as a person get a laugh at your expense as christians we don't judge but one day we all of us will be judged my answer is. don't condemn the book if you haven't read the story

Most people who even claim to be Christians are not because many are the called but few the chosen ones.

There is a lot of hatred here. But I've also seen a lot in the religion section. It doesn't make sense, since none of us actually know each other- or at least most of us don't.

I just peeked in the mirror, I saw some imperfections. So I made some racial comments directed at myself. Now I will come on here and do the same

Since you posted this in the immigration section I assume your are talking about people's reaction to illegals. Why are you surprised about strong feelings on the subject? We are being invaded by an unwanted group of people who do not obey our laws, take our jobs and have NO desire to fit in to American society. If you want to bring religion into the discussion, doesn't the Bible tell us to obey the laws of man unless it conflicts with the laws of God? Illegal is illegal!

You don't have to be a Christian to love and accept other people. Hatefulness is, unfortunately, part of human emotion.

You got to be nice cause you feel like it not just because somebody tells you to!

Is it love to permit people to break the law? If someone robs a bank we should let them do it without consequences? How about murder? If a law it wrong, then change it. Until then the laws should be enforced, and that includes trespass/illegal entry into this country.
